Gov. gives out hand sanitizers

MONROVIA,LIBERIA-The Government of Liberia, through the Internal Affairs Ministry, has begun dispatching essential disinfectants to the fifteen counties to help contain the spread of the coronavirus.

The items include 4,400 faucet buckets,825 cartons of tar-soap and 825 cartons of chloride.

Presenting the items to Bong County Superintendent Monday,March 30,2020, Internal Affairs Minister Varney Sirleaf said:”  The gesture is President Weah’s way of responding to COVID-19 outbreak.”

According to Minister Sirleaf , the items worth sixty-thousand United States Dollars with the funding coming from the Mobilization Fund of the President’s cancelled County Tour.

Responding, Superintendent Esther Walker praised President Weah for the items and assured that they will continue the effort to ensure that the virus is contained in Liberia.
