VP Jewel Howard Taylor

Monrovia, Liberia – Liberian Vice President Taylor wants more community engagement and networking to help fight sexual and gender based violence.

Speaking in an ELBC interview Monday, the Vice President Taylor said the war against Sexual Gender Based Violence (SGBV) cannot be won if everyone cannot join the fight.

She admitted that there are more cases of SGBV, especially during this Coronavirus pandemic.

The Vice President also noted that without medical and DNA evidence of rape and other forms of violence against boys and girls, the war against SGBV will not be won.

Vice President Taylor further called for information sharing and shaming of rape perpetrators at the community to assist government in SGBV fight.
