MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The Joint National Taskforce on payroll cleanup says it will begin physical verification soon.
Del Francis Wreh, a representative of the Ministry of Finance on the taskforce, said:” The biometric process has already deleted about two- thousand ghost names from the payroll.”
Speaking with ELBC Thursday, June 25, 2020, Mr. Wreh disclosed that the next phase of the process is to carry out nationwide physical verification of all government workers.
Meanwhile, Head of the National Identification Registry and a member of the Task Force , Tiah Nagbe, said:” With the current digital process, the system will be sustained for years to come.”
Mr. Nagbe said:” The payroll verification exercise will help Government adequately prepare for civil servants retirement, thereby renewing the workforce of Government.”
