MONROVIA, LIBERIA -The National Payroll and Cleanup Taskforce says it has verified and validated about fifty thousand government employees on payroll.
A member of the Team, representing the Ministry of Finance, Del Francis Wreh, said the exercise is being done to fulfill the Liberian Government’s mandate to have all public sector employees biometrically recorded.
Mr. Wreh is encouraging all Comptrollers and Human Resource Officers delaying to promptly send in their employees’ names and official National Identification cards.
He made the call Monday in an ELBC interview over the week-end in Liberia’s largest commercial city of Paynesville.
The National Payroll and Clean-up Taskforce member disclosed that as of July 2020, no government employee will receive salary without a verified official identification card.
Meanwhile, Mr. Del Francis Wreh has assured that special consideration will be given chiefs and elders faced with difficulties as a result of bad roads.
