MONROVIA, LIBERIA-The President of the Liberian Senate, Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor, is calling on members of the Liberian Senate to redouble their efforts in addressing trending national issues affecting the Country.

Vice President Taylor named the high cost of living, high taxes and high crime rate as some of the issues impeding development.

She said:” The prevailing issues are compounded by the issue of Sexual and Gender Based Violence.”

Vice President Taylor noted that if measures are not collectively put in place to secure a safer society, these lapses will cast doubts about the ability to give the citizenry the nation they deserve.

Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor spoke on Monday, January 11, 2021, during official program marking the opening of the 4th Session of the 54th National Legislature in Monrovia.
