CENTRAL BANK OF LIBERIA GOVERNOR ELECTED ------

MONROVIA, LIBERIA-Central Bank Governor, Aloysius Tarlue, has been elected Chairman of the Committee of Governors of the ECOWAS Central Banks.

Governor Tarlue was elected on February 15, 2021, during a virtual meeting of the ECOWAS Committee of Governors.

The meeting was held alongside the statutory meetings of West African Institute of Financial and Economic Management, and the West African Monetary Zone.

In his acceptance speech, Governor Tarlue assured that his tenure will be focused on consultation with his colleagues, in implementing the ECOWAS Single Currency Program.
