The J and J Vaccines

MONROVIA, LIBERIA – The Liberian Government has assured that the Johnson and Johnson vaccine has been tested and proven to be safe for human.

Foreign Minister Dee Maxwell Kemayah, however, called on Liberians and foreign residents to show up and take their J&J covid-19 jabs.

Minister Kemayah spoke Thursday, August 5, 2021, at the launch of the J&J vaccine in Paynesville. He lauded the United States Government for the provision of the vaccine to Liberia.

Minister Kemayah said the government is keen about the health and safety of the all Liberians noting that it is time they consider the vaccines as a final push to eradicate Covid-19.

Henceforth, Liberians and foreign residents have begun receiving the Johnson and Johnson (J&J) vaccine in Monrovia.

This followed the official launched of the vaccine by Health Minister Dr. Wilhelmina Jallah Thursday at the Paynesville City Hall.

The J and J vaccine was donated to Liberia by the United States Government through the COVAX Facility.

Dr. Jallah is, however, encouraging individuals who have not been vaccinated to take advantage of the vaccine while at the same time urging the public to remain adherence to the existing Health protocols.

The Health Minister thanked President Weah, the United States Government and other support staffs for their unflinching support in securing the J&J vaccine.

Dozens of people were seen queued up at the Paynesville City Hall to take their Johnson and Johnson vaccine as part of the roll out process in Montserrado County.
